Snapchat Investigations Course

SYNOPSIS

The ability for anyone to download Snapchat, and have instant access to narcotics, has turned a younger generation into prolific drug dealers. Dealers using Snapchat have made connections across the country and created a business model ranging from local deliveries to shipping narcotics coast to coast.

OBJECTIVE

The course will cover the basics of how to use Snapchat, the information needed for preservation letters and search warrants, how to submit court orders to Snapchat, and how to decipher the information returned from Snapchat and locate evidence. It will also provide investigators with the techniques to capture information being posted on a suspect’s Snapchat account, the language and lingo used for drugs, and a case study of a Snapchat investigation.
