Synopsis

The course will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of international and organized crime groups and transnational criminal organizations, with specific emphasis on their criminal activities and how they impact the United States.

Objective

Students will examine the often complex working relationships between drug cartels, organized crime groups, transnational gangs, and the criminal street gangs of the United States. They will also be introduced to practical investigative tools to combat the influence and spread of transnational organized crime and their criminal partnerships.

This course is free and intended for all members of the law enforcement community including patrol officers, correctional officers, detectives, special assignment personnel, federal agents, tribal officers, analysts, parole and probation officers, and prosecutors.
