SYNOPSIS

This three-day course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of criminal street gangs as well as the fundamentals of effective gang investigation.

OBJECTIVE

Students of this course will learn relevant definitions, overall gang recognition, proper documentation and classification of criminal gangs and gang members, how to develop expertise for affidavits and courtroom testimony. The course will also provide an overview of influential gangs nationwide as well as a current perspective of gangs in the instruction area.
