SYNOPSIS

This course provides law enforcement personnel with fundamental knowledge and an overview of the characteristics, hazards, and availability of synthetic opioids—such as fentanyl—within the illegal drug market, as well as the hazards associated with clandestine laboratory production and milling operations. It is designed to train both patrol officers and narcotics investigators in the identification of fentanyl, fentanyl‑related substances, and common chemical precursors.
