SYNOPSIS

The 2026 Oregon Prevention Summit will convene prevention leaders, community innovators, educators, and tribal partners to reimagine and strengthen substance use and mental health prevention across Oregon.

objectives

• Highlight current efforts and future directions in the primary prevention of substance use and mental health conditions in Oregon’s youth.

• Understand unique local prevention needs and priorities to directly inform statewide strategy.

• Foster culturally responsive approaches across sectors to strengthen primary prevention systems, school-based programs, and community flourishing.

• Assess workforce needs in training, evaluation, and technical assistance.

• Explore the roles of key partners, including HIDTA and the Oregon National Guard, in advancing prevention efforts.
