Synopsis

The US Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon will be conducting a three hour class that will cover federal criminal discovery obligations with an emphasis on digital evidence issues.

Objectives

For any law enforcement officer working on federal cases, this training session will cover an overview of criminal discovery obligations, with an emphasis on digital evidence issues and social media.

Instructors

Scott Bradford, Craig Gabriel, and Kelly Zusman work for the United States Attorney's Office in Portland, Oregon.  Bradford is the office's White Collar Unit Chief, Gabriel is the Violent Crime Unit Chief, and Zusman heads the appellate division.  All three are experienced criminal litigators who have spent many years working a wide variety of criminal cases including fraud, tax, violent crimes, child exploitation, drugs and guns.  Scott and Craig have both also served as Computer Crime experts for the office, and Kelly works on national criminal discovery training issues. 

Registration

This course is open to law enforcement investigators, supervisors and managers. Registration is free and students will be responsible for all other associated travel, lodging and meal expenses.
